Terms and Conditions

1. In consideration for payment by animal's owner (Owner) of the fees of The Pet Nanny (TPN) in force from time to time, TPN will use all reasonable endeavours to recommend a suitable carer for Owner's animal (Carer) from information provided in the booking form which contains the entire agreement between Owner and TPN. If Owner is not satisfied with Carer supplied, provided that Owner notifies TPN within 3 days of meeting Carer, TPN will offer to provide another carer or refund the deposit.

2. Owner will present Owner's animal for boarding in a clean, groomed condition and up-to-date with vaccinations, de-flea and anti-worm treatments.

3. Owner undertakes to make full and complete disclosure in the booking form of any fact, quality or characteristic which might render Owner's animal unsuitable for home boarding including, but not limited to, behavioural or health problems, anti-social behaviour including aggression, incontinence/lack of housetraining or excessive loud barking/whining. Failure on the part of Owner to disclose herein any matter which might render Owner's animal unsuitable for home boarding will be deemed a material omission amounting to a fundamental breach of this agreement and any outstanding fees will immediately become due and payable.

4. A fee of £25 is charged to cover administration costs if cancellation occurs with over 28 clear days' notice; 50% of the deposit is payable (minimum £25) if cancellation occurs with 14 to 28 clear days' notice; and the entire deposit and 50% of Carer's fee are payable if cancellation occurs with 2 to 13 clear days' notice. If cancellation occurs with under 2 clear days' notice, or Owner's animal is not delivered on the agreed date, the deposit and Carer's fee are payable in full.

5. If Carer is unable to complete a booking, TPN will use all reasonable endeavours to place Owner's animal with an alternative carer (Alternative Carer). However, if TPN reasonably considers Owner's animal to be unsuitable for home boarding, or if Owner's animal is rejected by Alternative Carer, TPN reserves the right to place Owner's animal in boarding kennels at Owner's expense and the deposit and Carer's fee are payable in full.

6. All reasonable efforts will be made to contact Owner or Owner's emergency contact in the event of an emergency. However, TPN reserves the right to make decisions regarding Owner's animal's health provided it is at all times acting in the best interests of Owner's animal and on the advice of a veterinary surgeon.

7. Owner is responsible for payment of any veterinary fees incurred during Owner's absence.

8. If Owner instructs Carer to exercise Owner's animal off-lead, Owner accepts full liability for any loss or damage caused as a result. Owner is financially responsible for any loss or damage to Carer or to Carer's property caused by Owner's animal.

9. If Owner procures or attempts to procure the services of Carer direct, whether on his or her behalf or on behalf of a third party, Owner is liable to pay to TPN a one-off fee equal to 4 times the weekly remuneration Owner paid to Carer.
